Fun Commissions

Good Afternoon!

I hope everyone is doing fantastic! I am hoping to get more time in the upcoming weeks to get a nice little back log again of art projects, so that you guys aren’t missing out on some of the art that is currently stuck in my head. Trust me i have a nice little list of ideas I would like to work on besides making more adorable animal faces and plaids.

I have actually had an abundance of commissions! I am pretty excited about that. I haven’t even gotten the commission page on my website here all set up yet. Currently I will be booked out a ways with these commissions, but I will open the doors so to speak when I can work on some more. It seems like roughly one piece a month depending on the complexity works best for me at the moment. Working on art isn’t my primary source of income so it makes the timing for commissions kind of tight.

I actually got the okay to post one of the recent commissions. The person who requested the commission was pretty open to design ideas, so I got to have a lot of fun with this one. I will be doing another piece for this person probably starting next month. I am trying to squeeze in another commission who had some alterations that they wanted to make to their pieces before i start on the next piece.

I colored this piece flatter. I felt like if I added too much shading that it would take away from the dog-a-thon style which was requested. The request was for 5 animals: fox, rabbit, bison, eagle, and cardinal. Some of these creatures i have never drawn, so it was definitely a learning experience for me. I had those moments where I would hate and want to redo whatever creature I was last coloring until I was finished with the next and so on.

i hope you all like this piece as much as the person who commissioned it did. A big thank you again for the person liking my artwork enough to want me to create something this personal for ’em.

If you guys like this piece and want something done in this style as well feel free to reach out to me. I can at least let you know when I would be able to work on something for you, and see if that time line would work. Since it is possibly a few months out I don’t want to open commissions, and have a few disappointed folks.
