Happy Tuesday all!
First I want to wish everyone a happy late 4th of July. I decided to take the day off from posting and spend it with our family. My husband’s half brother and family came out to visit as well. It was nice. I am glad they were able to come out and visit.
So I got my canisters back from my friend’s business. These poor guys have had a rough ride, haha. So they got burnt and then didn’t like the refiring so had to get fired again. I still love them a lot and I am grateful that my friend went through all of that effort to save them. It’s always a slight risk when you work with multiple processed art items that they may not make it through. These guys did though, tough little kitchen canisters. If you guys are ever in New England and want to do pottery be sure to check out Pea Poddery! She didn’t have to go through all of that extra work to save these, but she did. I am very impressed. (Good work Pea Team!)
And here is the detailing on the lids! I love these. They are a very cute anime twist on a classic kitchen canister. I am hoping to eventually make up a spoon rest and the larger canister to match this set. Thinking Howl’s Moving Castle and Kiki’s Delivery service. Those would be all of the movies I have seen by them. I know there are a ton of others but those I started on so it means more.
Side Note: I will be offering my mermay drawings as coasters to anyone who is a patreon! I have a little video here that I recorded to show people the coasters you can get. I really do like them!
Until next time, safe travels and good luck on all of your endeavors
