I have never used any of the new specialty glazes until just recently. My husband especially loves them. I feel like he can get such cool looks from them without doing much work. This is unlike many of my recent pottery works which took a total of 3 hours past the time he was completed with his. Good thing we are friends with the owners of the pottery location and that we go with friends / family each time!

The specialty glazes go on different than what they actually turn out. This is other than the mat black specialty glaze.  It is also really neat that the special colors almost never come out the same. We have found this even on the same piece. That was an odd, but good outcome.

This piece came out close to how I thought it would. I love love how it melted onto the black matt. It kind of makes me wish I had painted more black underneath to make it blend / melt more. I absolutely love my yarn bowl. I totally need / want to play with the specialty glazes more.
