Elder Scrolls Online Warden – Color

I love how this character came out. It has been awhile since I have done digital art… Basically a year-ish? So my tablet doesn’t always perfectly match what is on most monitors. This kind of sucks especially when I am trying to match colors like her skin tone… Mostly just her skin tone this time. I don’t dislike how it shows though I feel like it worked out with the color scheme.

I played around a lot with shadowing with this one… I toned some of it back and make it less drastic on my tablet… It works well still on the PC. One of my older pieces I was using roughly the same shading technique and it was showing very vibrantly the color I was shading with on my PC, but not on my tablet. Since this was an issue before I added another darker shade of the “original” color I was shading. Seems like that fixed what I had an issue with before.

This was one of my first times? Probably a lie I just can’t remember the last time I actually shaded and colored a blade (in this case an Axe). It was a lot of fun! Whenever I do the background I totally want to play with it reflecting some of the foreground.

I do plan on adding a background at some point. Something very Morrowind esq. Since she is a warden, and I haven’t been able to get her off of the Morrowind island yet (because I am a completionist).

Plans for the next two blog posts: I am hoping to post some of my recent pencil sketches. Nothing fancy, but I am with this piece all caught up with the past year (whoo hoo).

Until next time, safe travels and good luck on all of your endeavors,
-The Sonne Faun
