I am super excited that this came out so well. I actually tried something different when coloring it…. I did “messy” detail…. I feel like I don’t know how to fully describe it. A lot of art from games I play create an illusion of a ton of detail in their loading pages or the art they are selling for the game. It looks fantastic and like they meticulously places every single line. However when you zoom in there is just scribbles in that area… Can you believe it scribbles?!?! and it looks fan-friggin-tastic!

Her fur was giving me absolute anxiety. I was really trying to have a lot of control over it. So this would be my difficulty for this part of the piece. I had to learn that sometimes letting go of the “control” can make absolutely beautiful art. Which I already knew and acknowledged, however I was always like why can’t I make my art look like that without putting in every detail. I feel like it is a balance between putting in detail purposely, and allowing a little “chaos” into the mix. What is life without a little chaos, am I right?
