Gabriel Spells, Swords, and Stealth – sketch

Happy Thursday everyone!

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! I went back to work this week and it has been pretty tough to get back in the groove so far. Hopefully next week will be better! However it looks like it is supposed to rain most of net week so I am unsure how it will go off of that. We need the rain after the hot hot days here in New England area but rain is never fun.

I have been able to make time for some sketches the past few days however. I have also been listening to audio books again. I like listening to them while I work because a lot of what I do is repetitive. Also because otherwise I would have absolutely no time to read. Which really sucks. I love reading a lot. TO the point were I would burn through multiple books a week. I initially thought that I wouldn’t like audio books but broke down and bought a few when I was doing those 5 hour drives last year.

One of the series I have been listening to is about NPCs who discover a lot more about them selves and the world around them. The governor’s daughter is amazing and there were a few scenes in the book split the party that made me really want to draw her.

I know there are a few things to tweak like her arms and the armor and a bunch of things let’s be honest. However I am pretty proud I sketched this up without any references other than me standing in the middle of my office making weird poses and trying to draw it. Going from pictures is much easier guys! I really want to color her and refine her. I really hope I have more time to work on all of the art I have lined up! Honestly I had all of last week and my brain was so over worked from my IT job I was basically a vegetable all week. Seriously though the one thing I did do was the pottery thing and even though cute did not come out like I had planned.  It is what is is I suppose. I’ll cut this here and I will show you all the pottery I did next week and some of the lovely sketches I’ve gotten to as well!

Until next time, safe travels and good luck on all of your endeavors,
-The Sonne Faun
